It would surprise
most people to know that the state of Rajasthan is one
of the major agricultural states of the country. Rajasthan
produces:
» 40% of mustard (sarson) of
the country is produced in Rajasthan
» 40% of cumin (jeera) of the country is produced
in Rajasthan
» 60% of the coriander (dhania) of the country
is produced in Rajasthan
» Almost all of the isabgol (isabgol) of the country
is produced in Rajasthan
Rajfed plays the role of a marketing
platform for the Dept. of Agriculture for the Buffer
Stocking Scheme, through which we supply essential fertilizers
to the farmers of the State. We also have tie ups with
other organisations to provide certified seeds and pesticides.
At the other end of the spectrum, Rajfed
works as a marketing agency of the agricultural produce
by procuring grains, pulses and oilseeds for government
agencies as well as for private companies.
